Bring Out the Best in Your Girl with Girl Scouts

And help her bring out the best in everyone

October 20, 2020

At Girl Scouts, girls learn the life skills they need to build confidence and thrive, finding smart solutions to everyday problems and creating their own success—whatever that looks like to them.

Your girl will discover who she is, what she’s passionate about, and what she wants to achieve, both today and in the future, all in a place designed just for her! While she’s learning about STEM, the outdoors, entrepreneurship, and important life skills, she’s also discovering new ways to make your family and community stronger, kinder, and better for everyone.

Getting started with Girl Scouts is as easy with 3 different ways girls can participate:

1 . JOIN AN EXISTING TROOP

Visit girlscoutsofmaine.org/join and click “Join Us” to register. You will have the option to search for an existing group to join. Don’t see one in your area? Try extending the search radius to see options nearby.

2. VOLUNTEER TO START A NEW TROOP IN YOUR COMMUNITY

Form a new troop with a friend! Each troop must have at least 2 unrelated adult co-leaders. If you need help finding a co-leader Girl Scouts can help. Two online trainings are provided to help get you started and we are here to support you with all the tools and resources you need to succeed!

3. JOIN AS AN INDIVIDUALLY REGISTERED GIRL SCOUT

Design your own Girl Scout experience as an individually registered member, called a Juliette! This option gives girls and families flexibility to participate in a way that works best for them.

However you choose to participate, girls can engage in:
