When The Magic Tap sent me their drink dispenser for potential review, I was intrigued but cautiously optimistic. Plenty of “As Seen On TV” products just haven’t lived up to the hype. The Magic Tap is a spill proof automatic dispenser for beverages. The Magic Tap is designed so that kids can easily help themselves to beverages easily and the product does exactly that.
The Magic Tap is easy to put together, insert 2 AA batteries in the cap, remove the cap that came with your beverage and replace it with the Magic Tap which has a universal cap which fit most containers we tested (milk jugs, Gatorade bottles, water bottles and more). The kids no longer have to lift heavy containers in and out of the fridge or balance a jug while trying to pour. They simply press their cup to the trigger on the cap and the drink pours out.
I like that the universal cap is flexible and seals nicely to many different sized containers. The pump is powerful enough that the kids aren’t standing with the fridge door open for very long in order to get their drink; the beverage comes out quickly and easily. It takes a bit of time to clean The Magic Tap in between uses but it is well worth it. My kids have been able to easily help themselves to drinks and pour their own cereal milk. I love that it is easily portable so we can easily bring a huge jug out on the deck during a playdate, to the ball field or on a picnic and all the kids (and adults) can easily help themselves.
