Macaroni Minute

By Kayt DeMerchant, Publisher March 5, 2015

As I sit here putting together the newsletter for this week, I am listening to the drip, drip, drip of the snow melting from my rooftop. It is a most welcome sound, as is the feeling of the sun on my face through the window. I'm not sure I have ever looked forward to spring quite this much. I'm nothing short of giddy thinking about "springing forward" the clocks this weekend. I don't mind 'losing' an hour of sleep if it means more hours of daylight!

This week:

  • Even though spring is on her way, we are still having some bitter cold days. Our friends at St. Mary's have some tips for avoiding frostbite and what to do if you suspect your kids have it. Check out When Jack Frost Bites, here.
  • Enjoy some family baking time by making our Berry Breakfast Bars. Hint: They aren't just for breakfast! They make a great anytime snack!
  • If you have real little ones, whip up some of our super-easy finger paint that is okay to eat! Find the recipe in Macaroni Make.
  • Do you have a go-to meal that your entire family loves? If so, you could win a 6-month supply of England's Best Eggs and $500! Find out how, here.
  • Don't forget to set your clocks ahead on Saturday night! Daylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 8 at 2 am. Read about five activities to help your family 'Spring Forward."

Have a wonderful week!
Best,
Kayt
