Halloween Costume Swap

Hosted by Auburn Public Library

By Sponsored by Auburn Public Library September 25, 2014
Halloween comes just once a year. As a result, Halloween costumes get worn, well, one time…maybe twice if there’s a younger sibling willing to wear it another year. Don't be scared by the high price tags on Halloween costumes. Swap instead of shop! Join the Auburn Public Library for a parent, and planet, friendly event! Our Costume Swap is recycling at its most fun! Kids get new-to-them costumes, parents save money...and the planet!

The Auburn Public Library will host a Halloween Costume Swap on Saturday, October  18th from 1 to 3 pm at the Auburn Public Library at 49 Spring Street in Auburn. A Costume Swap is recycling at its most fun.
Here’s how the Costume Swap works:
  • Drop off your swap-able costumes between September 29 and October 17 to the Auburn Public Library Children’s Department, 49 Spring Street in Auburn. Costumes can be dropped off any time during business hours.
  • In exchange for each complete, clean, gently-worn costume, you will receive 1 swap ticket to claim a new-to-you costume at the 10/18 event. Come by the Auburn Public Library anytime between 1 and 3 pm on Saturday, October  18 to claim your costume(s).
  • No costume to swap? Still want to shop? Stop by the event on October 18th after 2:30 pm and purchase any costume for a $5 donation.
Please note: once costumes have been entered into the Swap, they cannot be returned. We cannot guarantee you will find a suitable costume for your child.
